There are two lines of thought on the question. 1st, they are the children of angels who left their post in heaven to marry the beautiful women of earth. God punished them for abandoning their post and chained them. They will be released in the endtimes. 2nd, they are the children of the line of Seth mixed with the Line of Cain. The line of Seth would be the Sons of God. The line of Cain, of course, would be the line which resulted after Cain was exiled.
