Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12 and the similitude of Adam’s sin

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:14  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

These two verses troubled me for some time.  Many people are aware of Rom 3:23 and repeat that verse endlessly.  All have sinned, they say.  But reading a little bit more into Scripture, just two more chapters, it says “even over them that had not sinned”.

Are there some people who have not sinned?  Of course!

There are many people who claim that infants have committed sins.  But I’m of the opinion that some people are incapable of sin.  Children in the womb, for instance.  I believe that life begins at the moment of conception.  And at the moment of conception, the human being is a one celled organism.  In my opinion, it is impossible for that soul to commit any sin.  And we know that they die because women lose their babies at those tender ages very frequently.  Whether it be of natural or unnatural causes.
